Passport / Visa Passports: If you are travelling from the UK with British Passports you should ensure that there is still at least 6 months validity left on your passport when you return home. If you do not possess a British passport you should ask your travel agent for advice regarding visa requirements or contact the Egyptian Consulate Visa Department. Visas: - VERY IMPORTANT When you arrive at Sharm El Sheikh airport you will probably find that your representative will tell you to queue up for a temporary tourist or visitors visa which are in the region of around £15 each. However, if you are not leaving the Sinai Peninsula, which if you are staying around Sharm you wont' be, then you do not need a visa. You should be able to go straight to passport control telling them you do not need a visa as you are not leaving the Sinai Peninsula. You might need to be forthright as your fellow passengers will most probably just line up and pay their money when they really dont' have to. We paid the first time we travelled to Sharm and it cost us £60. This time there were 6 of us and we saved £90. **All of the above details were correct at time of writing. Please double check with your agent.
